The workshop’s practice

In addition to the old and valuable experiences from the passed centuries and my own knowledge and skills I try to use - where it makes sense - the achievements of modern technology.

One example is the sound recording of finished or unfinished instruments. This can be a useful help and support for the human’s hearing which does not work always in the same way. Sometimes the memory, the actual personal situation or simply a cold can change the hearing impression. By using HiFi-recording you can reduce these influences.

But also computers can be used to work more efficiently, because it is possible to make sounds visible. The advantage is that you can easily compare the different sounds.

Nevertheless we shouldn’t forget that technical devices and equipment are always an aid. What’s more important is the working experience and the feeling for the wood.
